In this body of work Noelle Gallagher's practice was concerned with inhabiting the physical world. Her process included cycling through the landscape or cityscape with a video camera strapped to the carrier of her bike. Not only did she perform a sort of absorptive mapping on these bicycle journeys, but she revisited the experience in digital form back in the studio. Watching the footage gave unexpected viewpoints to familiar terrain and these new perspectives became jumping off points for paintings.
